Premature Ejaculation

Premature Ejaculation

What is it?

Premature ejaculation (PE)

It’s one of the predominant of all sexual problems amongst men. Recently, there has been a survey of many thousand males, and approximately 10 percent of men said that they sometimes have PE during and before sex.

They found PE is a lot more predominant in younger male – which is no surprise, as it tends to improve with age. Male premature ejaculation tends to become more controllable as they mature.

BUT, in recent survey (04) it showed that middle-aged males still have this problem.

Is it a cause for concern?

Well, in most cases it is a cause for concern, as it makes men become obsessive about the issue and can get anxious. And in some more unique cases Premature Ejaculation can even ruin a relationship, mainly due the fact that it becomes detrimental to the sexual relationship. Sometimes, the symptom is so advanced that the man can’t manage to have sexual intercourse because he can ejaculate too quickly. This is devastating and traumatic, and most definitely embarrassing and can create low self-confidence..

What causes PE?

At the McKeown Clinic in Hertfordshire we say that premature ejaculation is caused by an early bottled up emotion. There are other claims to which the males early, impatient sexual desires had to be fast, so as to avoid suspicion! The idea is that all this hectic fast conditioning had him climaxing as quick as possible.

However, in many surveys they have found that many males with Premature Ejaculation say that they were not impatient, that they did not have fast early sexual experiences. These maintain that they were highly triggered right from the start of their sex lives.

Finally, there is no question that anxiety (or nerves) plays a part in nearly all Premature Ejaculation cases. If you’re nervous, you’re likely to come too quickly. That’s why many males have discovered for themselves that a small amount of alcohol eases their nerves and makes them less likely to climax prematurely. But at the McKeown Clinic in we wouldn’t advise alcohol as a treatment!
